In the second episode this season, we’re delighted to welcome a special guest - Paul Woods, Irish Painter and super interesting personality with a vast knowledge of art and history. We also welcome a new team member Dawid Kondraciuk who will be from now on making sure we sound spotless in the audio only version of our podcast.
_InTheMaking_ a podcast where we talk science, films, books and history. Where we try to draw parallels between the past present and potential futures, all the time trying to debunk misinformation and spread the knowledge which sometimes may be hidden in the vast abyss of our post information era.
About the Episode
We have invited Paul Woods to our studio to talk about art. We were super excited on so many levels, Paul is a fantastic painter with a unique style and subjects as well as a history expert, especially when it comes to military history and art.
We set the subject trying to figure out if Art is something inherited, biological even or is it a cultural phenomenon. Paul together with Michal and Maciej went through various different approaches, speculations and ages when it comes to art, humanity and the impact it may have had as well as has and will have on our development as a species.
The premise for our conversation was based on Paul’s mind-blowing new project, in terms of technique and scale - the modern take on Bosh’s Garden of Earthly Delights, which we very briefly discuss, just to begin our journey through the various faces and meanings of ART through the ages…and in outer space.
